A quiet Saturday.

Apart from the boats and joggers.

The north lake held the usual; Coots, Tufted Duck, Wigeon and a few Gadwall; and a few Herons.

The boats were out on the lake fairly early, which put most of the water birds up in the air; and the tree dwellers were being quite elusive. It wasn't going to be a good day.

As I made my way round the south lake, the sun was trying to burn through the low cloud. Maybe it would get better later.
At the far end, escaping the boat people, a group of Gadwall, Coots, and Black-headed Gulls were on the water, along with a couple of Little Grebe.

I quickly passed the rowing club, as more and more boats seemed to be spilling onto the water, and made my way towards the car park.
I stopped briefly to amuse myself photographing a group of gulls.

Always good to practice on these, especially if you've a crust of bread to throw around.
